Quick and Easy Dinner: Steak and Peppers

This is one of my favorite recipes. It only has a few simple ingredients and is so simple to make! The sweet flavor of the peppers soaked in Worcestershire mixed with the garlic is a great combination. The extra sauce is great over mashed potatoes, you can actually scoop it all up in one delicious bite.

This would be a great recipe with freshly grown peppers from your garden as well! Make sure you get organic peppers to avoid any harsh chemicals or pesticides.

This simple dinner recipe can be done by a cook with any skill level. So don't be afraid, just follow the recipe below:

Prep time: 5 minutes to cut peppers and onions
Cook time: 10-15 minutes depending on how your steak preference.

Ingredients:

Green Bell Pepper
Orange Bell Pepper
Yellow or Red Bell Pepper
1 Yellow onion
Minced Garlic
Worcestershire sauce
Steak (your choice of type..in the video I used eye of the round steak but works great with T-bone or Ribeye as well)

Instructions:

1. Cut the peppers into strips. I only used half of each one. You can choose whatever color combination you wish for the peppers, and the amount depending on how many people are eating.
2. Dice half the yellow onion.
3. Add peppers and onions to skillet, saute for about 5 minutes over medium heat. Add a small amount of minced garlic and Worcestershire and cover with lid for another few minutes until onion is mostly clear.
4. Remove lid and add the steak to skillet. Add a tablespoon of minced garlic and 1/4 cup of Worcestershire sauce. (again depending on how much sauce you want for potatoes and to pour over steak)
5. Flip steaks only once, cook to your preference of doneness.
6. Serve with a side of instant potatoes and enjoy!!
